I would incorporate so that your business can have its own tax ID and line of credit, but also to protect yourself if someone attempts to sue your company; they won't be able to get your personal assets.Pretty sure there are people here that have more to say on it and have a deeper knowledge of how to protect yourself and your investment properties.

@Ryan Taylor- yes you should - provide your lender with the HELOC line of credit agreement so they can calcualte the payment based on what yopu plan to use on the HELOC ....this payment will be added to your debt/ income ratio ....if you plan to rent the present home - you will need to present the lender with a signed lease a greement if you want any rental income to be incorporated to the mix - good luck

if the contractor is incorporated, you dont have to file the 1099, or if its under $600, you would not have to file that 1099

When I have my atty incorporate the LLCs, he simply designates them at the time of filing as disregarded entities for filing purposes, and then the EINs will just be our SSNs?
