well if I ever make it to the Smokies to see what the draw is  I will rent a condo then :)  I am just guess but I suspect folks that go there want to be in the woods and hear the birds and maybe some local mtn views etc.. or some sort of privacy they never get at home out east were there is not very much public lands close to where they live in the big city. ????

Those are spray and pray techniques that don't fit with sellers right now because sellers/owners are sitting on a very low rate and don't want to move to go up 4-5 points on their rate.Listings aren't a start now thing as well.

AirBNB is still a good place to find MTR tenants as well.

There is also podcastguests.com as well as several facebook groups where you can find people to get on other podcasts. 

A whole lot to be wary of- well, lagoon system and then those POH trailers. 

Lease options can work as well.
