I'm starting in Austin, Texas, because it is a growing, thriving area, and my wife and I want to move there someday.

@Don Van Nguyen Bigger markets like Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin are great markets that are thriving.

I see real estate as another ongoing skill that would be best to learn now and excel at rather than wait and talk about what could have been down the line; life is too short not to thrive!

The fact that a third meter is present is a plus as well.While I understand the zoning department is where this opportunity will ultimately thrive/die, I was hoping to connect with a contractor that has experience dealing with zoning changes and permits required in the area. 

We grew up in a church that was thriving and an awesome community.

It’s two totally different property types.I think without the many short term rentals on Anna Maria, the thriving businesses and restaurants there would be in trouble.

I always notice what plants look like they are thriving despite any evidence of care.  

That is the best place to start and there is certainly a thriving REI community up there.

I guess the brighter side of this is I can be a sponge, a blank slate and pick up advice and skills necessary to THRIVE.
