This probably implies FIRE in his 20s, but I hope he is passionate about the path he has chosen and excels at it until at least a more traditional retirement age.He started the 2nd rehab he is leading.  

We recently did a loan involving a borrower with a mind-numbing operating agreement involving nested LLCs, retirement plans, and individuals. 

I would not buy into the “retire early“ façade.I would make as much money as possible, as soon as possible, in a field I enjoy and am good at. 

It was a great investment as he put $10K down on a $25K investment in 1963, paid off the $15K mortgage in 1980, retired, and live off the rental incomes.

Most people that toured it were retired couples.  

I also have about $200k invested in the stock market (not retirement account).I’m looking to buy my next investment property to grow my portfolio.

Unfortunately, i am retiring and no grandkids yet.

Their advice is the same your grandfather would give you in regard to pay off your home and retire.

If you are looking at buying small businesses I would target the ones that baby boomers own, many of them are retiring and looking to sell their business as a retirement plan.
