No offense but your message is confusing since you talk about getting payments, but also about your note being stripped and worthless.To get stripped, they have to file a motion in the courts and have a judge sign off on it.

I've positioned myself defensively and offensively with diversified streams of investment incomes with hopefully enough margin of safety to weather the next crisis whatever the cause.

Today, I think a statute can allow judicial foreclosure and quiet title in the same action and not be offensive to common law principles or violate constitutional due process. 

Smaller increases with each new lease signing, on perhaps an annual basis that you would be forthcoming with prior to them moving in would seem to be less offensive to potential tenants.   

Federally the first violation is $16k, $37,500 for a 2nd offense and $65k for a 3rd offense.Be warned, just because someone has a law degree, doesnt mean they know the law.

Would this make the lenders more likely to compete and offer lower interest rates or does this come across as offensive to other lenders?
