I was a carpenter installing floors, never was satisfied knowing overtime was really the only way I could earn more. 

Maybe installing a grab bar in a shower for an elderly tenant who needs it to safely enter/exit the shower.

As we flipped this ourselves from the roof to the flooring, we gained much respect to labor workers and realized even the tidiest things such as changing the outlet covers and installing new plumbing will take up a lot of time!

We had similar situation and just installed a pocket door.

Because I live across the country, that would have cost me a lot to hire an electrician or handyman to buy and install them all.
