I live outside the USA so that my money stretches further, I have better food, better lifestyle and I am out of the rat race in the USA.

I know that I can write my travel, supplies, and food expenses off of my taxes while on that trip.

I do know that very few municipalities won't require egress and life safety considerations.

The pests are likely caused by something the tenant is doing (not storing food properly, keeping the place clean, etc). 

I will say when they moved in, I had to replace the washer, the microwave, the carpet in the entire basement (required), the safety sensors on the garage.  

Granted MFH are more common in rougher parts of central jersey and my purchasing power can't acquire me something in North Jersey here homes are much more desirable when it comes to appreciation and schools and safety.

I love to travel and explore food places.

There are no other safety concerns or visible signs of the fire left intact.

Also, put any repairs pointed out by the inspector into the following categories (by priority)1) Health & Safety - to avoid tenant injury and potential lawsuits2) Property Preservation - to stop further costlier damages3) Government Required - city inspection repairs & S84) Marketing Negative Impact - who'll rent a house with purple bedrooms?

I think "what about my wife and kids" and their safety.
