@Kevin Collins I apologize; my response came out a little rough around the edges and I assume that you certainly have done your homework prior too.... but that is a bit of my point... nothing will change when you go and work with a realtor and find investment properties yourself... figuring out what the property is worth IS PART OF THE ANALYSIS (if that's important to you) and because of this it is no different than other than you should now be verifying what the realtor will tell you it's worth as opposed to what the turnkey is telling you.

Hello,I’m currently investing in some units in the village of Sagres (Algarve) and prior to this process, I’ve done a market analysis for the short term rental market, which I have in mind for my properties.

When I moved from Las Cruces to Phoenix in 2014, the property was valued at about 18k less than what i paid for it 6 years prior.

Additionally, the right of redemption only applies if the property was owner occupied during the 90 days prior to the sale and this is not the case here. 

It might be legal now, but it wasn't that long ago and they definitely have prior experience with these scenarios.

It may not be practical to have a contractor look at each property when you might examine 10-20 for each one you buy.

He may have to eat those additional expenses if he can't prove he had approval prior to doing it.c.
