Not sure about Ohio, but it can take close to a year or more in some states, especially with someone who knows how to work the system.

Flipping remotely is even a worse idea - you have no control over the scene and will likely be exploited because of it.  

It means instead of having one or a few things that you have NO control of what so ever, you now have several things you have NO control of what so ever.

You lose all of the control and these are long term investments - but in my experience the returns match what I had on the active real estate and I am hiring professionals to manage the assets.
