Cross fingers that congress passes bill to allow bonus depreciation, perform a cost segregation analysis in year 1 to capture as much depreciation as possible to offset incomes. 

Your holidays would be much cheaper,  you'd stay in different places (more variety) and you could stay in much nicer places for the same budget.I understand the reason you'd want to buy is to be able to capture a potential capital gain.

Between those people and the MLS, I'd begin looking for value add properties where you can purchase at a deep discount with hard money or private funds, improve it, capture more equity and have less out of pocket.
