There are plenty of ways to get involved and experienced on a salary.Don't forget corporate real estate divisions, Wal-Mart has a real estate division, there are folks that do nothing but travel around locating new store spaces, chain restaurants, auto parts stores, JC Penny, Sears (I know they are closing stores but the staff is still there to do that as well) Hedge Funds, banks, insurance companies.....long list of commercial management positions inside the corporate world. :)

They just build a new Wal-Mart about 5 miles away and the house has never been vacant for more than 10 days.

It's right off a major highway, there are big stores like Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Kroger, etc., within 1.5 miles of it. 

Ten years ago, a company like Target or Walmart didn't give a damn what their ranking was for valuable products, but thanks to Google Product Listings (now a paid service) and the success that independent SEOs found in marketing products via Google, they pay lots of money to rank highly for competitive terms.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum but I have a question for all the Fort Campbell / Clarksville,TN / Oak Grove, KY area investors.I admit upfront that I am very new and inexperienced at this but I am hoping to pick the brains of some of you with a bit more knowledge.I live over in Oak Grove 3 minutes from I-24, 5 mins from WalMart and 10-15 mins from Fort Campbell in a solid B neighborhood where a 3/2 SFR w/ 1300ish sq ft rent for 850-900 per month.There are 2-3 REO properties that don't look like they are in that bad of shape that have been on the market for 60+ days with the banks asking less than 60k.
