Salut Martin, finally some other french guys on the forum !

For those who don't know the French market, it's nothing like the US market and ROIs are much much lowers if any...I also recently aquired a set of 20 garages which offer a better ROI than apartments or houses and splits the risk of unpaid rent in exchange for more management... but I have a retired Dad :)In the past couple months, I have been in contact with a few companies and individuals specializing in investing in the US for foreigners, some looking more dodgy than others but overall seeming to be doing OK...

It likely needs a French Drain, as I believe they are called.

Just last week, I was quoted $8400 for what @Emilio Ramirez described for a 29 x 32 basement for interior and exterior (what I call french) drains.  

I have done some research on french drains and channel drains, but I am not sure if they would be viable fixes in this case.

If you want, change the dining room window to french doors that lead out to the back deck.Claim more space for the kitchen from the front hall.

You might have a crack in the foundation and need a french drain installed.

I understand that there should be moisture in the dirt but how wet is too wet and how do I figure out if an interior french drain and sump pump is necessary?
