Also I am also now employed by a self storage operator so my opinion is probably is not objective.I was a professional sale person who "retired" on 3/31/2018 to launch the investment arm of self storage business due to my belief in the fundamentals of this asset class.

However, for that to happen they need to hang their licenses somewhere (I assume), because their brokerage does not want them working for someone else type thing without taking a cut.. so it starts to make since to launch my own brokerage.This is for the state of Virginia.

Again, everyone's situation is different and we all have our own opinions on the path forward, but I believe real estate investing is a much better launching point than studying business in school, where at best you remember 10% of what you learned when it becomes applicable if its even relevant.
