I was thinking set up an entity in US, then purchase the Canadian property with it.Do you have a particular recommendation for me in regards to what would be a good structure under which to purchase the described property?

In the interim he will likely be a royal pain, you will be losing money and you will not be able to get rid of him.

@Alicia Marks the ability to set location to a Canadian province (doesnt even have to be specific cities yet) but atleast if we can set by province than we can begin discussions with others in our same provinces.

As a Canadian living in Japan, I've been fortunate to be able to access Japanese real estate while living here.

Many Americans and Canadians are buying/ building their properties here, because well, the time to buy here is now.

Yeah - I can see why lots of Canadians are investing in the US then. 

Haven't seen any Canadian real estate investors on BP as of yet, looking to get more of an understanding of the market up here before my first investment !
