Does it need a environmental survey done?  

I am looking at a piece of land for sale for apartment development, my city wants a survey of the land.

He has all the permits and surveys completed.

You can also get a survey which should included all recorded easements.

I also strongly recommend a land survey as well.You'll also want to start shopping property managers so you can turn the property over to them as soon as your repairs are completed. 

Due the nature of the DSCR underwriting process and using the properties income, if they are using market rents they might quote you at 80% to get you in the door but the more times than not on the appraisal report, the market rent survey will come in and the long term rent income number won't debt cover (qualify) at a 80% LTV.

If you don't know what phase 1 and phase 2 reports, ALTA surveys, lease estoppels, lien releases, etc are, then digging down the due diligence rabbit hole for a while could be a great option.  

I haven't done a survey but the parcel map makes it appear as though the driveway belongs to the property to the left.

You could leave a short survey at your cabins to test out your ideas.You could also try word of mouth referrals, such as current guests who refer others would both receive $x off a future stay, or some other thank you gift.For group rental ideas, like scrapbooking, you could try to tap into related stores or events.

Using AirDNA can be a better way to structure a DSCR loan since long term rent surveys often come in lower than expected which can be the deal impossible to do as the rent is too low on the survey to support the expenses.
