There was absolutely nothing wrong with being a Real Estate Operator, while some were thought to be wheeler dealers most use to call themselves an Operator without having to look down.I have no idea where the term investor came from for those involved in operations, if I were to guess it would go back to a guru type that wanted a more impressive title for the facilitators/operators using some strategy.

If you close a deal, you have several years to look over your shoulder.You have a choice, you can start in the real estate business in an ethical, lawful and compliant manner, seeking to become a real estate professional or you can begin and conduct your business in much the same way as a drug dealer does trying to hide your deals and ignoring laws.
