Lot of people would be happier being broke than diabetic ...Make a movement around this concept and it becomes FIRE...start a successful financial show/training   around this concept and you get a Dave Ramsey show..write a successful blog around this and you get Mr Money Mustache. 

It looks like she's transitioned to business reporting on what the Chronicle calls the sharing economy and maker movement.  

Consider choose FI podcast and look into FIRE movement.

Additionally, here in Cook County, IL the "housing is a right" movement nearly eliminated the effectiveness of background checks.

Then look online for a gently used one.

This thread has convinced me that gently-used or almost-new is not the way to go!

Demand: This is the hard one, because people need places to live so I think you'll see some movement down the value chain.

@Todd Powell it is abundantly clear to me that the various jurisdictions that implemented the eviction moratoriums fueled the fire of the "cancel rent" movement.

I understand the concern, and will gently mention that there is always recourse if the tenant just so happens to flake out on their rent because of the messaging from the government.
