Probably which ever one your plumber feels most confident about is the best.PEX is said to outlast copper, not sure what that's based on but if you want good background to ask detailed questions of your plumber check out the replies in this BP thread: https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/84/topics/176...I'm sure your plumber can find the galvy to PEX or copper fittings they'll need, the challenge will come from finding a threaded galvanized pipe joint in your wall that is still in good enough shape to be unthreaded without crumbling from being rusted together.Good hunting-

Maybe someone will weigh in for what's possible and what's customary in Virginia.Some jurisdictions require the tenant to give proper notice XX number of days before the start of the next rental period (which most likely is the first of the month) and the tenant would be responsible for rent and utilities up until that date, or her actual move-out date, whichever is the latter.

We also wrote in some things to the agreement: each year we would consider selling (if either partner wanted to sell - we sell; or if we mutually agree to hold - we hold for another year); we have succession/plan set up should anything happen to either party (my husband and I own an LLC that owns 50% of our JV LLC so that's not an issue, but our partner owns 50% of the JV LLC in his name); things like that are spelled out in case of the worst. 2) Mortgage is $1900/month (20 yr amort.) apartment rent $1000 and shooting for $2000-2400 house rent depending on the type of tenant we get (there's a possibility we will house either a family, or rent by the room b/c we are only about a block from OU med center, so whichever happens first!).

Also, as a fellow Californian, by law the GC can only collect $1000 or 10% of the contract amount at signing WHICHEVER IS LOWER, they can also not bill you for work not done.
