Prices in the Omaha metro are still on a slight but steady upward movement, like most strong midwest areas that don't see the roller coaster movement of values like sun belt areas.

I'm not aware of any movement towards regulating short term rentals in Baltimore County, but I would still proceed cautiously and make sure that any purchase would work as a regular rental as well.

I just say go in knowing how to 1.) treat people well and 2.) understand different types of demographics and not be so tense about working with them or stereotyping them.But, the links posted really do tell really good stories, with photos, as well as tell the tale of the beginning of the Sub30k movement here on BP :-)Good luck!

I also know that I'm not the only person who feels this way.If you care about the reputation you're helping perpetuate about investors, then stop it with the bandit signs.Limit sign use to places where you've gotten permission and on your own properties.Good luck to you.

With the movement towards automation, it seems like the personal touch is simply fading.I think there remains an argument to consider the underwriting standards found in the movie It's A Wonderful Life.
