I find hit highly unlikely that teenage / early 20's me would have been sitting around reading books on accounting or statistical analysis if left to my own devices.That said, no degree is going to GUARANTEE you success, but what it CAN do is tilt the odds just a bit more in your favor.

Only because I own a tilt-up in Palm Springs that has such severe title cloud that its been placed in a life estate for my children because a $1200-hr law firm (not lawyer) threw their collective hands up over the matter.

If the flooring is at a seriously bad tilt, you can build a floor on top of the subfloor rather than jack up the house by cutting 2x4 or 2x6 at 16" or 24" centers along the path of the incline so that the floor is level along this path.

@Andrew Nash, while you can do this, and it's a fix for this deal, Florida has really high "transfer" taxes so in the future if your going to purchase a property like this I would purchase it in my own name with a local community bank then do a cash out re-fi then you will only pay doc stamps and intangible tax on the new additional money, not the whole amount of the loan, you can also do an "update" on the tilte insurance policy since your not changing ownership, instead of a paying for a brand new policy.Hope this helps,Good luck

At the moment I'm more tilted towards USA investments from a portfolio perspective because I have GBP based pension assets that I can't touch until I'm older and I don't want more GBP exposure right now.
