All cash is right, and if oyu are afraid of using this tool, because it actually snaps the pipe,( whcih can also cause the pipe to break more places then you wanted it to) you can use a sawzaw with a carbide blade that is specifically made for cast iron.

If someone has to tell you "it's not just $1 per 12x12 tile, it's also cement board at $12 per 15sf, thinset at $20/50lbs, $10/200 cement board screws, XX for grout, spacers, tile saw blades,..ETC", then you are not ready to estimate rehab costs and should bring a professional with you.

If they are laminate and you can get a clean cut (use a brand new circular saw blade use masking tape over the cut) you could probably slide the new oven in and completely obscure the cut ends anyhow.

My X in 3 years went in for a door squeak. you only change wiper fluid when needed  wiper blades and brake fluid every 25k miles.. so unless you hit something so far mine have been bullet proof .. now to be fair I have only owned them for 3.5 years and I always buy cars new drive them until I am bored with them and get another new one.. so like my model S I sold that last month ( for a price far better than any other used car vis a vi depreciation) and picking up a new X today ..

While Brrr is not an easy strategy either, this what I coin AAA-Strategy is a razor sharp double edged blade, done wrong it can very easily rip a person wide-open and bleed a person out before they even know what happened.

A bit trickier to install than the Lowes (it's a thinner, more flexible vinyl) but Xacto blade cutting on the installl is nice.
