I knew what was wrong with the unit, the fan on the coil would not run, so I hooked up an external fan on top of the unit to pull air through the coil and we had AC.

It blows colder than 80, but sometimes during extreme heat it AC's can malfunction due to the maximum capacity it's working tech said the AC will over heat in extreme heat.

What's important is secondary security locks, AC/Heat for all living sq footage, all working outlets, damp rated bulbs in bathrooms, working appliances, fire extinguishers, we do 1 year worth of monthly air filters, which cost way less than ceiling fans, working fire alarms, etc.Best wishes, good luck.
