Many have pulled out of insuring multifamily properties or only cover up to 4-unit buildings.While Allstate doesn’t have a unit cap, they do cap total coverage at $750K on a landlord policy—which is why I’m exploring options for supplemental coverage.The carrier raised my rate by ~86% on all three properties under this policy.

I had 2 or 3 called.Now again keep in mind I had zero interest in holding these as rentals and I ONLY bought homes that had significant equity for me.. mainly all pre foreclosures..

Just got off the phone with the zoning guy and he said since both of my lots pre-date the zoning regulations in the city, they're grandfathered in so-to-speak, which means I am able to build a single family on each one!
