I'm calculating which markets are the hottest and going after them. 

On a pre-1900 build I often see them filled with mortar, at least here in Milwaukee.

Does the cost per sqft account for electric and plumbing? 

Check their nightly rate, occupancy and amenities.That will give you a pretty good idea of need and profitability.

For cash flow, I'd recommend checking out the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point) or Fayetteville in NC and Sumter and Florence in SC. 

I am trying to look them up and I don't see any reviews on line and nothing with the BBB. 

Good to know as I have a property coming on the market and we had one off market offer already all cash but at 10% list price discount (which we most likely will reject).Curious if you think the california fires will assist the market since many of those people need places to live for years and I am guessing some will flee california?

You can refinance sooner and at a higher LTV.
