Seems like such a waste but nobody can agree on a new portfolio manager as the old manager was a family friend for multiple generations and well trusted.

We do the leasing for them, but once we get the tenant in place, turn it back over to the owner to manage. 

In 15 years of management and 20 years of investing, I've never had a break-in on a vacant or occupied unit.

I'm a property manager, let's network! 

If the property is close enough, you can also forego the property management and handle it yourself in the short term. 

Have been talking about getting into real estate investing for the last 2-3 years and finally pulled the trigger on a 3 unit house hack in Soulard that will be closing later this month and will be self-managing the property.I'm trying to network a bit with other investors, build a solid team of contractors / handymen, and set my systems up in way to scale, but also so my tenants have a good experience.

I am a fellow investor also looking for my first property but I also have a contracting and property management company.

Building a portfolio allows you to gain experience, develop systems, develop your own approach to managing properties etc.
