My parents may give me a 100-200k loan if I ask.Based on a book I read [Part Time Real Estate Investing], the top markets (2016) areOrlando, Fort Lauderdale, Cape Coral, North Port, Tampa, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, FL, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, TXGrand Rapids, MI, Charlotte, NC, Seattle, WA, Nashville, TN, Charleston, SC, Denver, Co, Madison, WI, Boise, IDBut, I've never been any of these cities so I have no idea.Back to the question, If you can start your Real Estate Investing career in any city in the United States, where would you start?

Without enough homes to buy, some investors are now building their own in popular residential markets like Miami and Nashville, Tenn.

I just opened up in Nashville and I'm looking to connect with some like minded real estate investors. 

-Interested in eventually investing OOS, including: Charlotte, Asheville, maybe the midwest, Nashville / Chattanooga.

I Bought my first out of state property in Nashville because my parents live close by no income tax and I can write of trip to TN because I would view/inspect my property while I was there.

A few months ago I helped one of my best friends buy his first home (primary not investment) in Fairview outside of Nashville.

Instead, we purchased a townhome in the rice village/west university area and decided to "House Hack" part time by renting it out as a vacation rental.We are actually in the process of moving back to the Nashville now, so we've listed the house for sale (just posted details in marketplace if you want to read more about our experience).

We are currently planning to sell a Houston property since we are moving to Nashville, but considering keeping it to rent out.
