I couldn't have imagined it just a few years ago.

Just like wealth, knowledge compounds overtime to something much larger than you ever imagined it could be.

But, if they are flippers/rehabbers, investors, property managers, I could see that being a benefit.And I would certainly be looking at flight options into either market, as I couldn't imagine putting hundreds of thousands of dollars into investments in a market with visiting those investments at least a couple times per year.  

I also know that they "didn't know about the sale ahead of time", so I have to imagine that played a role in the lien. 

I'm wondering if the same lenders who financing STR's would consider Padspits.You may want to check this, but I would imagine that renting via Padsplit would be considered as a STR which have been highly restricted in the city of New Orleans, and the only way you can get a permit recently is to also live in the property.

I can't imagine someone arguing with this (but I'm sure there will be someone).

I'd imagine having a roommate who also gains equity would turn into a legal nightmare when either of us decide to move. 

I imagine Cleveland is fairly seasonal so she would be moving during your slow season.

Imagine the 2nd property is a 4plex, each unit can be rented $1500/unit of 75% =$1125 x 4 units =$4500 worth of income to offset your that 2nd property.

However, can you imagine how many service requests would come in for silly stuff related to printers?
