You should also be aware, @Richard Villandry , that every group is different, has its own flavor, rules, fees or no-fees, memberships or no-memberships, and experience level of the attendees.  

I suggest you follow your attorney's advice, they should know the local flavor of the month in their area, no one here knows more about your area than s/he does. :)
