Just target your strategy to your current resources/skills and work on building your empire as you go. 

Hi All,I am new to BP and am currently reading Raising Private Capital - Building your Real Estate Empire Using Other Peoples Money.I would like to know if any Real Estate Investors groups in Maine (Portland to Augusta preferably).

Then I'll continue to work on deals in this area, building my rental real estate empire (through the BRRR method once I learn more about it).After I've got my feet under me and feel good about spotting deals and setting up the right teams of contractors and property managers, I plan to go back to work in my field and continue to tuck deals away with my salary. 

Been looking for a few weeks now for some consistent and reliable wholesalers in SoCal, mostly in the Inland Empire area, to pick up some deals from. 

I know we’ve left money on the table with this strategy, but at the time we were content with our little empire.

Full disclosure, I've stayed in the lane as an Agent helping buyers/sellers, Buy, Sell, Invest or Relocate all while forgetting to build my own real estate empire.

Ray Kroc built a whole empire out of realizing he could sell cheap crappy hamburgers as long as the johns in his hamburger joints were cleaner than the next guy's.

I am personally more in line with Dan Moore in that it's not always about how big you can build your empire.
