RE: credit scores...a few things I remember when screening: I use Experian Connect to request a credit report from a prospective tenant who has otherwise seemed like they might be a good fit based on other criteria and questions answered (my requirements are almost identical to yours, I think it weeds out the bad and if people don't want to answer them, well, you don't want to rent to them...)

For example, we have apartments adjacent to our home where recently vacated units rent for literally 3x the rate as identical units which have been occupied by the same tenants for decades.

They own about 100 units and the other 50 or so are privately owned, usually have a few a year sell right at the $160 mark, floorplans are identical. 

Two identical cabins were sold in the same resort afterwards.

If you say final and best, the only way I'd go out for another round of offers would be if there were two that were the highest and were completely identical to each other.
