If there are some differential settlement (the house is sinking in a non uniform way), you should be able to see diagonal cracks on the bricks, specially from the corners of the openings (windows/doors).

The 2bd is 2 story unit that can be split in a way that would make the property look like 8 uniform units (Its a 2 story building with a 1 bedroom unit in each corner.

I was thinking that too, cos I noticed the neighborhood has uniform row houses and only few ran down properties on that corner.

That’s one strategy that I’ve put in motion.
