I will say - I AM glad to more easily see my notifications, browse the posts I'm following, and message people more easily :)

It is the same reason that a store advertise up to 80% off, only to find out that there's only 1 item that has 80% and its a bookmark worth 50 cents, but hey, the bright side is, the customer is already browsing the store.
