Or trust that I will get very wealthy through re, which I am a firm believer I will, and use the capital to invest in RE now, instead of tying it up for X amount of years, like so many Americans do.

The best way in my experience to get wealthy is to truly save as much as you humanly can, especially when you are starting out.

Unless you have a very wealthy personal friend, your most likely option is finding someone that is interested in real estate, but no longer wants to do the heavy lifting or is looking to move from those $5mm raises for a $10-15mm property to the $10-15mm raises for the $25-30mm properties.As noted, I would expect and be willing to give up a fair amount of the deal to get off the ground. 

If wealth is your game, paying property off is not how you get there.
