Or into stages (demo, build punch out, etc)?

I am reconstructing after near total demo , and was looking at a quartz or replica ish countertop for $40/sq ft. 

Of course there are a ton of variables with any project, and unknown issues you will find after demo.

Although I have seen properties were it was "too distressed" and the investor decided to demo and build a new home.

@Jaysen Medhurst @Albert OlivarriaI have been contemplating the best and cheapest way to soundproofing my 3 floor apt building.I do not want to demo the existing ceiling because it is very heavy plaster.I believe the best solution without demolition is to:1) add 2" metal channels to existing ceiling.

He gave me an online demo of the product and it seems like it would be helpful.   

if it's a big job, use a draw schedule that pays them for demo/prep. 

Most of the demo and frame work have been done inside as-well. 

Homes are only appraising for $80-$90k fully rehabbed, so the contractor suggested I demo the house and donate the land once the tenant moved out.I don't want to give up, but I'm very tempted to cut my losses.
