It is still the duty of the property manager to point out the need for normal ongoing maintenance activities such as gutter cleaning, trimming trees and shrubs away from buildings and roofs, filter changes, etc and for the less routine items such as updating furnaces, water heaters, windows and the like.

I still have so much to do, kitchen countertops, island countertop, bathroom vanity countertops, all the trim work, hardwood floor in the family room, a raised deck in back, windows to be restored, cleaned and painted, a new front door, repairs and painting the front porch, steps and columns.

It is a simple process of building the doorway out to fit a new 32" or whatever size door you prefer, some sheetrock and finish trim work.

If you have done some simple carpentry type work before, have basic tools, and the building was constructed within the last 40-50 years, then you're probably good to go yourself after watching a few YouTube videos.You could start with pulling off the trim and looking at how the current door is installed (assuming you mean the full door and not just the slab).

I dealt with this in a condo I bought from a smoker.1) Open windows2) Definitely rip up any carpet that may be there3) Put on a mask-  Clean and scrub walls/windows/floors/trim every surface in the house with bleach/water mixture.
