The reason why I mentioned all these things and why this is a good lesson...is the importance of being genuinely interested in people and listening to them. 

Personally i'm a huge fan of Chicago cash flow, because everyone I met there seemed genuine.

I guess what I am saying here is I think they were genuine people and there are some gurus out there that are legit. 

Since I really abhor the idea of living on a relative's couch- I'm trying to make a serious go of real estate.I like the community feel here at BP, and the fact that people genuinely try to help each other out.

There's a lot of good sounding BS people run across, but these in office consultations can cut the genuine investors from the tire kickers.   

In 2017, I had a genuine log cabin, circa 1800, burn to the ground in Gatlinburg.
