Citizens will make you go to a regular insurer if their rates are within 20% of what citizens rates are - as they have taken on way too much risk.The legislature has tried to solve the insurance crisis a couple times, but I haven’t seen rates start to come down at all.

Hey GuysMy name is Daniel. for the last 3 years I was buying real estate in Detroit area.Im from Israel and doesnt have any american citizenship. a good friend of mine is a citizen and have a credit score of 729 with a decent job. my question is, can I create an LLC with him and then buy properties and using loans from homepath on his name and credit and have my name on the LLC as well?

With the current home insurance situation in Florida making everything very difficult the only company that was able to insure the property was Citizens which only provides a $100k liability coverage.

I have an agent out of Miami that gets great rates, usually with Citizens but depends on property (distance to water, etc).
