Not everyone is willing to volunteer a number but those that do start to give you an idea of their expectations.

Maybe you can start working with a local real estate brokerage to learn the process of buying and selling real estate, even if you are just volunteering your time for a few hours week.

Food and shelter are the first order of priority.I volunteer at a homeless shelter here in Maine. 

The tenant volunteered to stay at her partners while this happened, think it was a few days.

I am not saying you need to volunteer information if they don't ask, but if they say "what is your role" or "are you the owner", you should be truthful.

They cannot.Think this through and figure a way to get some 'skin in the game', however small......maybe offer to contribute even $100 a week from your regular job.Then go get some real world experience in the field.....volunteer at a RE office as a gofer, or at a construction jobsite as a clean-up guy....that will impress a lot of people.....Good luck!

I can see the benefit for sure but i should also clarify that i have a full time job (Project Management) and this will be more of a volunteering gig (around 10 hours a week).

Let him volunteer to fix the problem.
