Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.The guys in the picture above, are two sets of partners discussing how one guy borrowed money from both of them without any of them knowing he was borrowing from multiple people, then he ghosted them all.They comment on how much work it was to track him down and prevent him from closing on a transaction unless they got paid back.

So, not only is it cheaper to rekey, deadbolts-only STOP tenants from locking their keys in their home since they must use their key to lock it:)We are looking into a cheap camera to also use that connects to internet for remote monitoring with motion-sensor alerts.Hi Michael,We've had keys broken into locks to prevent other showings before also.

Even if the tenant can’t pay, it sets the expectation and documents the issue.Small Claims Court: If the tenant refuses to pay, you could take them to small claims court, where you can seek repayment without needing a lawyer.Security Deposit: If the tenant has a deposit, apply it toward the damages.Consider Eviction: Given the arrears and damage, eviction might be a last resort to prevent future losses.Talk with your property manager to create a plan that minimizes further risk.
