If there are 8 outlets and 1 is taken by a CO, does that also mean the other 7 you have mean the stove, fridge, microwave - that leaves 4.  

Washer, dryer, stove, microwave, water heaters, ac.

They can be really sensitive to heat, depending on grade I guess, especially the darker colors (ie: trendy gray), and can leave a permanent light discolored mark after you put a hot plate of food on it...like even out of the microwave.

Use a small bar sink and a small  undercounter refrigerator and a microwave (like they have in a hotel suite.)

Subdivide and sell it to a builder, selling a cake by using only a microwave though.

Just a thought.Back to your question though for the basic appliances like ovens stoves and microwaves it really pretty much depends on your tenants and how much money you have to play with.Really old appliances are cheap but at the same time their energy consumption is HUGE.

Install outlet for refrigerator.3.Replace all receptacle outlets and switches.4.Furnish/Install outlet for refrigerator.5.Furnish/Install GFI receptacle in exterior rear yard only.6.Furnish/Install six recess lights in kitchen, install 12 recess lights in basement.7.Install 20amp circuit for microwave.8.Furnish/Install customer’s chandelier.9.Furnish/Install three smoke/CO2 detectors one on each level.10.Furnish/Install GFI in basement bath and second floor bath 11.

I typically include the Fridge, DW, Stove, and above the stove Microwave.

I recently converted my garage into a studio apt and all the appliances that i have  (Fridge, stove, microwave ) were bought used.
