Regulations & Compliance: What's the best way to research local STR laws and avoid potential regulatory issues?

I don't see it as an issue but many still do, at least in my small town where the majority of renters are elderly people looking for low maintenance housing options.

My neighbor has listed his but also has had occupancy issues as an STR and said that most people looking for either rooms or cheap stays but I can't comment on that as I have no experience listing as an MTR.

We are both nurse and plan to travel for a good portion of this time, so 'living' in the small 1br or studio apartment for residence purposes will not be a major issue for us since we will rarely be there.

If using a private/HML loan for the first part of the BRRRR, you'll want to understand the terms and conditions and timing so that there's not an issue when you refi.

I tend to agree and don't think it will be an issue.

I understand this is not a requirement, but I have never received a damaged unit from an inherited tenant or any legal issues.
