I’ve talk to countless doctors, dentists, IT professionals, and others who have tried to chase a side business like this and been miserable.That said, if you were going to do a deal just like this in the future, I would consider furnishing the units and offering them as long-term corporate rentals to those nurses and others.

Have a contract on a 10,000 sq ft (main floor) commercial office building with a mix of tenants such as dentists, massage therapists, insurance agent, and real estate company.

Use to be a dentist and doc office on first floor(2 diff offices) and the second floor is a 2 bed apartment.

Some businesses do need full capacity office space, i.e. doctors, dentists, manufacturing.

No way this building was 80 units of dentists, doctors, optometrists, etc for this town.Would check on any Section 8 Housing grants and zoning. 

The "standard agreements" that the service providers (realtors, accountants, dentists, beauty centers, etc.) ask clients to sign are extremely lopsided (i.e. only in the service providers' favor).

I find that doctors, dentists and sometimes attorneys are the easiest to get venture capital from because doctors, dentists and attorneys have tons of money and they have a deep desire to invest their money, but they don't want to manage projects and they don't have the time to manage projects.
