If they don't comply, I believe then the paperwork will be filed with the courts.1) they violated my lease agreement by re-keying the locks and refusing to let me do a walk-through (excuse was she has covid)2) since it's a month to month lease, I can also end the lease and state I will be moving back onto the property and taking it off the rental marketHopefully, these two conditions will hold up in court and will favor me.

You'll want to talk to a local probate attorney to see how much time that could take.If the squatter is not making mortgage payments, you've got perhaps another month or two before the lender begins foreclosure proceedings.In your situation, I would approach the squatter to see inside the property to assess the condition.

But if the lease terms are murky, if renewal conditions aren’t guarenteed, or if the airport authority could dramatically shift the deal down the line, then you should be asking for a discount..or at least some protective clauses in the contract.I’m curious... if you were to step into this kind of leasehold now, how do you think you’d explain the upside to your future buyers or partners when you eventually decide to exit?
