Some people may like the glass more per se, but do they like it 3x more?

Hi all, New member from SE Michigan.

I like texas (robust economy, CA & northeast transplants fleeing high taxes, no state tax, pro landlord)..however i hear dallas, austin, san antonio, and other parts are not cheap per se anymore (same with florida).  

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... but I do often see 4-unit buildings in SE DC that might be in your price range ($600k to $800k) and you can use residential financing that will allow you to get into the property with less money down.

You’ve most likely heard my story before (well, not MY story per se).

I work at the Oldtown Station, and have my eye on the SE areas - Fells, Upper Fells, Butchers Hill, etc.... 

I didn't really have an exit strategy per se, just a vague idea that I would sell when I could make a little money on it… or at least not lose money.
