I quickly found work as an English language teacher, preparing students for high-stakes language examinations.That rather predictably did not work out well, and so I ended up moving to Athens, Greece, and living there for three years with my folks, who left the USA as soon as I finished college.

Experience is the best teacher and it's much more beneficial and affordable to gain education from self study, networking and finding a true mentor rather than throwing money at overpriced courses in hopes of overnight success.

Here are some of my thoughts: The teacher is seeking another revenue stream, The teacher is a phony in terms of his success and seeks others to actually help himself, the teacher is indeed a good god-fearing person who makes time to help others, the teacher actually enjoys helping as a way to build his ego and his self-esteem.
