I travel a lot and that compounds the issue but I am trying to get myself committed to a better program.

It was found that the Physician would not catch up to the net worth of the UPS working until his 50's mostly related to getting started so late going to work after med school and also the large student loan debt that has compounded interest for all of those years. 

And, that doesnt include investing that 50% ROI and compounding it into even higher gains.

Everyone talks about college debt, but nobody is speaking about the additional opportunity cost AND the compounding value of the dollar! 

If the owners are delinquent on December 31st they are in trouble so there’s a compound effect with Christmas and taxes that pressures the homeowners who already scrambling.

But like in other areas of investing and real estate specifically, there is a massive opportunity for your experience and progress to compound.

I will discuss loan repayment options in a separate post but this is a simplified answer.This avoids the "compounding" of interest since the bank is legally only allowed to charge you in interest what you normally would have paid without forbearance.

That said, even a moderate return compounded over time can add up significantly.Earnings to the plan are tax sheltered. 

Compound interest is really hard to argue with.

They may not seem like big pieces to many, but when compounded over time, can certainly add up.
