Newbie from western burbs of Chicago.

I grew up in western KS, lived in Manhattan about 10 years, and now in KC for almost 10 years. 

Traditionally has met at Best Western Suites, 2000 Beach St., Fort Worth, Texas 76103 on Thursday nights.DFW REI Club – dfwreiclub.com – Meets about 2x-4x month, normally on Saturday morning from about 9am-12noon at Manhattan Plaza 6850 Manhattan Blvd, Suite 205 Fort Worth, TX 76120.

They're decent to work with though, so far anyway.Eastside is regional though, only PNW; although technically, they'll loan to you regardless of where you are (I'm in TN), but only on properties in Western WA.

I found Western Arkansas Title Services and they have done some assignment contract deals, not many but a few.

I will probably spend about several weeks in each city to get a feel of the areas.I went to school in western mass, so I am no stranger to snowy weather.

In western NC we pay around $2-$3 sq/ft depending on condition of the floor and whether or not its oil based or water based.  

You said your friend lives by one of the colleges, so  youre thinking of renting to educator tenants, unless they teach at Western New England University and live on one side of the univ, then is doable, all the orher colleges are in pretty hot areas and educators usually live outside the city.
