Now I have seen drains like that in Singapore in private homes that are 20 million dollar homes.. its a thing I guess in those areas for their bathrooms.. but anyway.. then the cabinets were some sort of stainless metal and counter tops concrete as well. then your basic cheap plumbing fixtures and cant remember what they had on the few windows but windows were absolute minimum UBC code.

For the outdoor unit, 6 indoor air handlers and other supplies (cable, copper,etc), it was over $7500 in supplies alone.I installed a regular heat pump instead with a 20KW electric coil for emergency heat.

If you don't want to do that they do make various nosings out of rubber, metal and even wood replacement nosings (make sure you get a hard dense wood).
