They're considerably more expensive if you're trying to do a home (vs one space) and the units mounted on the interior walls are not expected and considered obtrusive by some.I do think they'll become more common over time but while I've seen lots of them during international travel, I've never seen one installed here.

It would take me a day to cut the counter pieces and sink holes, a day to stain and poly and another day to install (pieces in place and get the sink and faucet placed)... the product held up well and still looks good, but you can’t have an under mount sink and it just turned into a time thing.

I was (in my head) thinking about a scenario where a tenant took me (the landlord) to court for extortion...then the burden would fall on you, the evil landlord, to prove the mount charged was "reasonable and customary"I agree taking to court would be foolish, but never underestimate the potential folly of certain tenants.
