I am looking into accounting/bookkeeping software to use for my rental property business (LLC), and I was wondering what people preferred?

Most important learning was to get the chart of accounts as simple and as clean as possible at the start to make all your bookkeeping easier. 

I've never used QB, but I guess it's still the gold standard for bookkeeping.

Especially those who do not want to hire a bookkeeper; however, need to keep track of things.http://www.mint.com -Steven

Hey guys,Just want to update everyone on my current "solution" until I hit the next level in my investing career where I need to invest in better bookkeeping systems.What I actually did is download the Stessa app which has a cloud based system that can be accessed from the phone or computer which was my primary goal.I created 8 properties on the application.4 were the properties of my rentals1 was the address of my broker which will function as my real estate agent expenses1 for the address of my Nurse practitioner job1 for the address of my Nurse Manager jobLastly, 1 for the address of my personal residenceDoing so I'm able to put different expenses by address, therefore being able to classify it by business type.

I know I can hire a Cpa or book keeper to help me out, but I don't know if that will be the right decision until tax season rolls around.

I am at 29 doors self managed on Cozy right now here in the Chicago area, and other than book keeping I can't think of anything else I would want it to do. 

You now have less likelihood of a tenant trying to sue you for your personal assets, bookkeeping is cleaner at tax time, and you have a business foundation that you can build over time including credit for the business, additional accounts for CapEx/Vacancies, etc.TLDR: Use a business to do business. 

It does take a leap of faith that is done with the backing of solid analysis and knowledgeable members on your team to fulfill tasks you're either uncomfortable overseeing (like acquisitions, bookkeeping, etc) OR who can be consulted just for advice.
